exams...penang...just another day

“Dreams. Everybody has them. Some good. Some bad. Some you wish you could forget. Sometimes you realise you've outgrown them. Sometimes you feel like they are finally coming true. And some of us, just have nightmares. But no matter what you dream, when morning comes, reality intrudes and the dream begins to slip away...”

Exams (5th of June)

Our exams finally ended on the 5th of June! Only our first semester and I’m already dying for it to be over and done with. Econs was horrible!!! Expect me to be repeating the paper next semester ): math c1 was really good...c2 not so much. It wasn’t horrible la but I’m not sure I can get a high enough A to be safe.

Anyway after the exams my class unfortunately didn’t plan anything and the last thing I wanted to do was go home. Needed to chill out a little. So....Aem, Ju, Gunju, Resh, Amir, Bra, Leonard and me ended up going to Marco’s at Bangsar Village for dinner then to Hartamas Square and then Breakers. Met Brandon at Breakers. He was learning to foos. Played a game of pool with Gunju which I was desperately losing till Resh and Vinod took over (: hehehe. Then Resh dropped me home and I called it a day.

Penang (7th - 9th of June)

Penang! After 2 and a half years, I visited Penang again. Went there by an 8 am flight with Mummy, Reshmin (sister), Masi (mum’s sister), Maser (mum’s sister’s husband), Pancake (cousin), Balwin (nephew) and Belreena (niece). I hate flying but it sure beats sitting in a car for 4/5 hours. Was sooooo sleepy considering I had little to no sleep the night before. Met the rest of the jingbang- Pancake 2 (cousin), Pali (cousin in law), Sim (niece), Jun (nephew), Manvir (nephew), Pancake 3 (cousin), Baljit (cousin in law), Harveena (niece) and Gobind (nephew)- there.

Anyway we did the usuals in Penang: had rojak and char kuay teow, visited the night market, Pagoda, got a massage(super ticklish!!!!), had our AGM(not much this time). Couldn’t go up Penang Hill cause the lines were just too long. And believe it or not, we didn’t even step foot on the beach. For the first time ever I went to a mall in Penang!!! Queensbay Mall. I was impressed actually. I always thought Penang was kind of ulu (: proved me wrong, that mall did. Our flight back was delayed by about an hour. Was quite frustrated cause I was starving and was just really tired. Anyway reached back home save and sound (:

Just Another Day (10th of June)

Jasvin (cousin) came to stay over. Always nice having cousins around. Pity the other couldn’t stay though. Spent the day helping my alma mater stamp and cut some stuff for an upcoming Interact Carnival (will post more about it soon). Then I got a manicure and pedicure done at this Chiq boutique place owned by Soong Ai Ling (supposedly some famous actress) in Bangsar Village. Went back home after and continued the stamping and cutting only to ruin my perfect nails :(

I am looking forward to an interesting week. That’s all for now....

x.
